Dr. Heinz-Peter Roß
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Dr Heinz-Peter Roß has served as the CEO of Viridium Group since July 2014. His areas of responsibility include legal, internal auditing, communication and mergers & acquisitions. He has more than 25 years of management experience both in the insurance market and in banking, most recently as a member of the management board of Talanx AG, one of Europe's large insurance groups, where he was responsible for the German retail and corporate segments.
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Markus Eschbach was appointed to the Management Board in November 2014. As Chief Operating Officer (COO) he has Group-wide responsibility for customer service and retention management. He is also responsible for Group-wide human resources, operational organisation and the integration management. His prior career included his appointment in 2010 as the head of corporate development of Talanx Deutschland AG.
Chief Risk Officer (CRO)
Falko Loy has been the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of Viridium Group since 1 April 2014. His areas of responsibility include risk management, compliance and procurement. Furthermore, he is responsible for the actuary and the actuarial mathematics function.Before being appointed to that position he served from 2012 onward with the management board of Heidelberger Lebensversicherung AG, now part of the portfolio of companies held by Viridium Group.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Michael Sattler has served as the CFO at the Group level since April 2014, and is thus in charge of finance, liquidity management, investments, taxes and actuarial matters. Michael Sattler held executive positions with Heidelberger Lebensversicherung AG from 2004 onward: These functions included the role as responsible actuary and head of actuarial matters, finance and product development segments – as a board member from 2007 until mid-2012 – and finally as CEO of Heidelberger Lebensversicherung AG.
Dr. Martin Setzer
Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Dr. Martin Setzer joined the Viridium Group in April 2018 as CIO. His responsibilities include all IT functions of the Group. Prior, he worked for Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) where, as Chief Operating Officer (COO), he was responsible for a number of areas for several years, including information technology, transformation management and most recently digitalisation strategy.
