Dr Tilo Dresig

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Dr Tilo Dresig has served as the CEO of Viridium Group since August 2021. His areas of responsibility include Internal Auditing, Investments, People & Sustainability, Communication and Legal. Previously, as CFO, he was responsible for Accounting & Controlling, Investments, Actuarial Planning & Accounting, Tax, Procurement, Treasury and M&A since he joined Viridium in 2018. He started his professional career as a direct assistant to the Group CFO of Allianz Group. He then worked for 16 years in senior roles in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in London and Frankfurt. As CFO of Viridium, Tilo Dresig has in particular managed the financial integration of Generali Lebensversicherung (now Proxalto) and has upgraded the financial and investment capabilities of Viridium as one of the largest life insurance groups in Germany.


Johannes Berkmann

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

As Group CFO, Johannes Berkmann has been responsible for the areas Accounting & Controlling, Actuarial Planning & Accounting, Tax, Procurement, Treasury and M&A since August 2021. He was previously Head of M&A since 2017 and, from 2018, Head of Accounting and Controlling. Before Johannes Berkmann joined Viridium, he worked for McKinsey and Cinven.

 


Mar­kus Esch­bach

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Markus Eschbach was appointed to the Management Board in November 2014. As Chief Operating Officer (COO) he has Group-wide responsibility for customer service and retention management. He is also responsible for operational organisation and the integration management. His prior career included his appointment in 2010 as the head of corporate development of Talanx Deutschland AG.

 


Mi­cha­el Satt­ler

Chief Risk Officer (CRO)

Michael Sattler has overseen the Risk Management since November 2019. He therefore assumes overall responsibility for risk management and compliance. He is also responsible for the functions of the Responsible Actuary, Actuarial Mathematics as well as the Independent Risk Controlling. Previously, Michael Sattler had been Group CFO of the Viridium Group since 2014. Michael Sattler held executive positions with Heidelberger Lebensversicherung AG already from 2004 onward: These functions included Responsible Actuary and Head of Actuarial Mathematics, Finance and Product Development.
