Web analysis by Matomo

On our website, we use the Open Source software tool Matomo (formerly PIWIK) to analyse the surfing behaviour of our users (the legal basis is Article 6 Par. 1 Clause f GDPR). The software places a cookie on the device of the user (for cookies see above).  If individual pages of our website are accessed, the following data is stored:

  • two bytes of the IP address of the accessing system of the user,
  • the browser type and browser version you use,
  • the operating system you use,
  • your country of origin,
  • date and time of the server enquiry,
  • the number of visits,
  • your time spent on the website,
  • the external links you activated.

The software runs exclusively on the servers of our website.  Storage of personal data of users only takes place there.  There is no passing on of data to third parties.

The software is set so that IP addresses are not stored in full, instead 2 bytes of the IP address are masked (e.g.: 192.168.xxx.xxx). Consequently, an attribution of the shortened IP address to the accessing device is no longer possible.

The processing of the personal data of users allows us to carry out an analysis of the surfing behaviour of our users.  Based on the evaluation of the gathered data, we are able to compile information about the use of the individual components of our website.  This helps us to consistently improve our website and its user-friendliness.  Our justified interest in the processing of data according to Article 6 Par. 1 Clause f GDPR also lies in these purposes.  Through the anonymisation of the IP address, the interest of the user in their protection of personal data is sufficiently ensured.

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for our recording purposes.  This is the case at the latest after 182 days.

You can decide here whether a clearly indicated web analysis cookie may be deposited on your browser to enable the operator of the website to gather and analyse a variety of statistical data.

If you would like to decide against it, remove the following tick to deposit the Matomo deactivation cookie on your browser.

You can also change your consent at any time using the following link.
