Strengthening of the executive board: Sara Yussefi appointed Chief People and Communications Officer of Viridium Group

Viridium Group, Germany’s leading life insurance consolidator, announces a new appointment to its executive board:

As of 1 July 2025, Sara Yussefi (44), previously Head of Communications at Viridium, will assume the newly established role of Chief People and Communications Officer (CPCO) of the Viridium Group. As such, she will oversee the departments People, Communications and Sustainability in the corresponding new board role.

Sara Yussefi has 20 years of experience in communications and people engagement. She has been Head of Communications at Viridium Group since September 2023 and has been instrumental in developing the group's external and internal communications as well as public affairs. Prior to this, she spent many years at the science and technology company Merck in various global management positions, including Global Head of Communications for the Life Science business. Among other global communications roles, she worked directly in the commercial business as Chief of Staff, driving strategy and key initiatives together with the management. She began her career in communications consulting for national and international clients, among others at Ketchum Pleon, a leading communications agency.

The appointment of Sara Yussefi to the executive boards of the insurance holding companies of the Viridium Group is subject to the approval of the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
